Predmine Platform
Predmine platform supports various predictive analytical processes with medium and big data sources, consisting of both structured and unstructured data, brings the advantages of predictive analytics, text mining and big data analytics tools to the financial and insurance sector. The product provides a complete collaborative predictive analytics solution supporting:
- A state of the art machine learning and classification algorithms based on existing open source libraries.
- Automatic data extraction and text mining techniques.
- Big data manipulation and management based on the Hadoop execution environment.
This ground-breaking solution will enable the existing insurance company’s IT personnel to build predictive models and score those models with huge datasets.
In the proposed platform have been implemented a new environment for data modelling and user profiling as well as a data mining engine, which can be used in many application areas but will be employed primarily in the insurance Sector in the context of this project. Among the features of the platform are the following:
- A scientific profile segmentation based on contract and user characteristics such as demographic elements, psycho graphic typologies and behavioural patterns.
- Discovery of hidden knowledge using Data Mining and Machine Learning Methods. The platform includes intelligent algorithms for prediction and classification of the data gathered.
- The user profiling and data gathering subsystem, where a subset of user data is used to construct the profile vectors of the data model. This subsystem is able to receive data from different heterogeneous resources like user transactions, user navigational history, questionnaires, psychometric tools, social media interactions, user discussions, social network user connections, etc. As a result, this subsystem is able to give a specific structure to all this unstructured data and build a precise representation of the users, generating the corresponding data model vectors The recent increase in availability of large data (Big Data) from a variety of data sources has opened a new dimension in predictive analytics space, enabling the insurers to take advantage of such large source of data, along with it existing traditional data, to gain useful insights that can reap commercial, business and IT benefits to the insurers and to their customers.
